SAFETY POLICY

At Wood Worx, we take the safety, privacy, and consent of every attendee seriously. The following procedure outlines how to report any incident involving violations of event rules, unsafe behavior, consent breaches, harassment, or other misconduct.

All actions will be guided by our commitment to guest safety, fairness, and our zero-tolerance stance on consent violations and harassment in accordance with the guidelines outlined in our Incident Reporting and Resolution Policy. 

If you’re unsure whether something should be reported, report it anyway.

We’d rather investigate a minor misunderstanding than overlook a serious harm.

What Should Be Reported?

You should file an incident report if you witness or experience any of the following:

• Violation of consent (e.g., ignoring safewords, non-negotiated physical or sexual contact).
• Harassment or bullying (verbal, physical, emotional, or digital)
• Intimidation, coercion, or manipulation.
• Inappropriate or disruptive behavior due to intoxication or substance use.
• Unauthorized photography or recording.
• Breach of privacy, outing, or sharing personal information without consent.
•  Sexual conduct in non-designated areas.
• Any action that threatens the physical or emotional safety of guests.

Who Can Report an Incident?

• Anyone who has been the subject of a violation.
• Third parties acting on behalf of someone else (with their permission).
• Staff/Volunteers are also required to report violations they become aware of.
• We can accept anonymous reports, but please be aware that we can't act on those reports. 

How to Report an Incident.

• In-Person (During the Event): Speak directly to a designated event official, party organizer, or on-duty security staff. Staff will be wearing clearly marked badges with RED lanyards. A private, quiet space will be provided to speak freely and confidentially
• Digital (During or After the Event): Submit an Incident Report Form. If you have any additional evidence you would like to share (screenshots, etc.), you can email that information to woodworxevents@gmail.com with the subject line "INCIDENT REPORT - YOUR FETLIFE NAME".

What Happens After a Report is Made?

• Immediate Safety Measures: If necessary, the individual(s) in question may be removed from the event space pending review.
• Documentation: A confidential report will be created and securely stored. Only designated incident response staff will have access.
• Investigation: The report will be reviewed promptly. Staff may follow up for clarification if you’ve consented to it.
• Corrective Actions: Verbal warning. Removal from event space. Temporary or permanent ban from future events. Referral to legal authorities (if appropriate).

Once the board has reviewed and investigated the incident, we will take the appropriate action(s) in accordance with the guidelines outlined in our Incident Reporting and Resolution Policy.

Confidentiality & Non-Retaliation

Wood Worx maintains strict confidentiality around all reports.

• Your name or identifying information will never be shared without your permission.
• Retaliation against anyone who submits a report or participates in an investigation is strictly prohibited and will result in a level 3 violation.

Aftercare & Support

• We can assist you in locating aftercare support during or after the event.
• Emotional support staff or peers may be made available on request.
• We can help connect you with kink-aware professionals or resources if needed. 

Wood Worx Events reserves the right, without the refund of any portion of the pass purchase price, to suspend or permanently ban without warning offenders of our Code of Conduct, any individuals with pending charges or convictions related to felonies, domestic violence, sexual assault, or any individual registered as a sex offender, or any individual whose presence may cause a disruption at our events or in our official group chat. If you fall into one of these categories, you are not allowed at a Wood Worx event. Before each event, we check every attendee on the National Sex Offender Public Website to ensure the safety of all who attend.
